Site & Facilities
Bryncoch Farm was bought by Graham and Mary some 45 years ago, and until about 16 years ago remained as a fully working farm. With difficulties in farming increasing over the years in 1992 it was decided that a change was needed, Trevor who had taken over the family farm was keen to diversify, and given the location and natural surroundings the obvious solution was to branch into tourism and leisure, Glamping was becoming more and more popular, so as well as opening the campsite the Log Pod and Camping Pod business was also started.
The main campsite lies in a flat ex paddock of approx 2 acres, to make the site more attractive and also keen to encourage all sorts of wildlife to the site, we decided to create our own lake, using the stream that had ran through the centre of the paddock, today the campsite has matured beautifully, with lots of natural diversity, trees and plants surround the site, ducks and geese call the lake home.
The lake itself has been well stocked with various species of fish over the years is now well established in its own right and offers excellent fishing, taking centre place in the paddock it is very popular for visitors who just want to relax and have somewhere close by to fish.
Separate from the main paddock area is our tent field, capable of holding more but restricted to 20 pitches at any one time so everyone has plenty of room to relax and have some privacy.
Mostly flat but with a gentle slope in areas, the tent field offers easy vehicular access as well as a separate amenity area with toilets, shower and wash facilities along with bins for any rubbish, access to the lake and the main paddock is just a couple of minutes walk.
We currently offer the following facilities in the main paddock-
6 x gravelled pitches for touring Caravans or Motor homes.
3 x Glamping Log Pods
1 x Lodge Plus Pod (with en-suite and hot tub)
1 x Traditional Shepard’s Hut
1 x Oval Camping Pod
1 x Barrel Camping Pod
Free WiFi (only availble in the paddock area)
1 x Amenity block with 2 x toilet and shower rooms and separate wash facility.
All toilet and washing facilities are cleaned daily.
All pitches are flat, and have optional electrical connections if required.
As a family campsite we welcome children and well-behaved dogs, please note that due to the lake, we strongly advise that all young children and pets are supervised at all times.
Just a short drive away is the well known Cennen Arms which always offers a warm welcome to visitors and is family-friendly, here they serve a fine selection of food and drink including some local ales.
Chinese, Indian and a variety of other takeaways can also be ordered for delivery to the campsite from one of the many restaurants in the two nearest towns Ammanford or Llandybie.
